- WHAT IS NATIONALITY?

Nationality is the quality or character which arises from the fact of a person’s belonging to a nation or state. It determines the political status of the individual, especially with reference to allegiance; while domicile determines his civil status. Nationality arises either by birth or by naturalization.

1. What is the nationality of Meru State Republic (MSR)?

- The nationality for Meru State Republic is Moroccan.

 

2. Why is Meru State Republic not proclaiming to be American?

- The 13 colonies/colonists changed their name to the United States of America. The colonizers are the Americans, and in order for indigenous people to decolonize we must utilize the lawful nationality according to treaties established (Moroccan).

 

3. Why is a State needed?

- A State government represents a nations sovereignty on an international stage and are responsible for enforcing laws and treaties. Moroccans need 3 branches of government, State laws, State flag, etc like all other nations in order to enforce treaties.

 

4. How do I become a part of the State?

- At this current time, Meru State Republic is STRICTLY looking for people who are willing to be State officials opposed to passively being nationals of the State.

 

5. Is MSR recognized?

- Yes. All Moroccan States have already been recognized by the 12 signatory European States in the Act of Algeciras of 1906. All the States agreed to acknowledge, respect and support Moroccan States as necessary.

 

6. What is a Moorish Subject?

- A Moorish Subject is a person who is under the authority of a Moroccan State government. Due to the Moors being colonized the Moorish Subject for many years and seen as corporations, the Moorish Subject became subjugated and is now being put back into its proper usage by way of the Moroccan State Government.

 

7. How can I become a national or official of MSR?

- You must reside within the dominions of Meru State Republic to be a national. To be an official you must also study what’s required of the State and cooperate with the authorized officials of MSR

 

8. What is the role of the United Nations (UN)?

- The UN was created to assist in decolonization and help States to enforce and interpret treaties. Since it has been established in 1945, 80 countries have decolonized. The UN also assists in the registration and publication of treaties, maintains a treaty database, and helps to promote compliance with treaty obligations through monitoring and enforcement mechanisms.

 

9. What is the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties?

- The Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties (VCLT), adopted in 1969, is a key international agreement that codifies the rules governing treaties between states. It outlines the principles for treaty formation, interpretation, and enforcement. According to Article 26 of the VCLT, "Every treaty in force is binding upon the parties to it and must be performed by them in good faith." The “parties” are the States. This article establishes that States are responsible for enforcing treaties, ensuring that they adhere to their commitments and uphold the agreed-upon terms. The VCLT underscores the importance of State compliance in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of international agreements.
